All Top 7 Best Football Adverts

The Famously person, Eric Cantona
Football has been the basis for some of the best and most memorable television adverts over the years. These classic offerings from Nike, Adidas and Pepsi feature many of the world's great players and showcase a perfect blend of fun, showboating and imagination. Lets start count down from 7..

7. AIRPORT '98 [NIKE]
Nike got in the samba spirit as the Brazil squad had some fun at the airport ahead of the 1998 World Cup. Unfortunately for the players they weren't having such a good time when it got to the final of the tournament itself, especially a rising superstar named Ronaldo.

6. TAKE IT TO THE NEXT LEVEL [NIKE]
In 2008 Nike chronicled a player's rise from obscurity to the very top of the game encountering all the pain and all the glory along the way. It seems at the end of the day there is no substitute for dedication and hard work.

5. OH AFRICA [PEPSI]
Pepsi tapped into the African feel-good party spirit ahead of the South Africa's World Cup in 2010 as the likes of Lionel Messi, Didier Drogba, Kaka and Thierry Henry took to the African Savanna to take on the locals, who had a little help from a moving pitch.

4. WRITE THE FUTURE [NIKE]
Wayne Rooney with a beard, Fabio Cannavaro the star of his own show, Cristiano Ronaldo the subject of a blockbuster movie and Ronaldinho an internet phenomenon are just some of what Nike had to offer ahead of the 2010 World Cup. Even Homer Simpson had a cameo.

3. OLE [NIKE]
In 2004 Nike's pre-match banter between Brazil and Portugal very quickly descended into anarchy as Roberto Carlos and Luis Figo, amongst others, ran riot. Suddenly kids were shouting "Olé" on streets, pitches and playgrounds the world over in a bid to replicate the antics of their heroes.

2. JOSE + 10 [ADIDAS]
Adidas stripped football right back to the streets in 2006 as two kids picked teams from some of the world's biggest stars, past and present, and Jermain Defoe, ending as many kick-abouts do with the ball going home with its owner.

1. THE CAGE [NIKE]
Nike's very best effort from 2002 takes place on a ship where a slightly mad Eric Cantona oversaw a 3-a-side tournament between some of the world's best footballers. First goal wins, only one team can be victorious. What more need be said?
